MARA is more than my name
The story of my logo and the meaning behind it
I want to tell about my logo. The idea of this logo "MARA" came to me when I was cycling through Minsk. I wanted to come up with my personal logo or a signature for my paintings and drawings. I wanted it to reflect me and my message. So, with that in mind, I was cycling through Minsk. It was summer. Suddenly, I had a vision of a yellow circle and the letters MA-RA—with MA on top, RA at the bottom—and it struck me. I felt like it suited me perfectly. It reflected me and the message that I want to send to the world.

So to me, my logo is about the sun. I love bright colors. But yellow has been my favorite since childhood. When I see it, I feel happier. To me, it is the color of the sun. It's about warmth. It's about good and positive vibes. Positive energy. I really want to shine for people, to bring them a warm and bright feeling—the feeling of life, summer, happiness.

And Mara is the short version of Maria. One of the many variations of this very old and beautiful name "Maria". Also, the word "mara" means "dream" in Belarusian. So to me, it has both personal and metaphorical meaning.

In my logo, MARA is separated into syllables MA and RA. And to me, these are about feminine and masculine energy. MA is the mother, the origin of life. RA is the god of the sun in ancient Egypt, symbolizing light, warmth and growth. In this logo, both of these symbols come together. That resonates with me, because my wish is to share happiness, joy and love of life.
